Kristie Moss, Media Specialist
Mrs. Moss dressed as "Spookly the
Square Pumpkin" during last year's Book Character Event.
Also known to our little students as "The Library Lady", my real identify is Mrs. Moss. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University in 1997. In 2002, I went on to acquire a Master's of Education degree from Brenau University. In 2009 I received an add-on certificate in Media Services from the University of West Georgia. In December of 2009, I finished my final year of college with a Specialist Degree from Piedmont College and University.
Hill City Elementary has been my home since it's beginning. This is my 12th year as the Library Media Specialist. I am entering my 17th year in my education career. I taught in Cherokee County before coming home to Pickens. Previously I have taught Special Education, 1st grade and 2nd grade.
I love my job and I love the fact that I get to teach all of our students here at Hill City Elementary. My daughter attended HCES and is now at Pickens High School and I have a son here at Hill City in the fifth grade. My husband Scotty and I grew up in our small hometown communities. Hill City is a wonderful school. I am proud to be a part of the Hill City family and to be known as "The Library Lady."
